Role DescriptionThe Associate DVM is a full-time or part-time, on-site role based at Heartland Veterinary Hospital in Edwardsville, IL. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions, and providing preventive care and wellness services for companion animals. The Associate DVM will conduct and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, perform routine and advanced surgical procedures, and collaborate with the medical team on critical care cases. This role also involves educating clients on pet health, discussing treatment options, maintaining accurate medical records, and supporting a positive, team-oriented clinical environment. Participation in hospital protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and occasional community outreach or client education events is expected.

Compensation (IL Transparency Compliant)Starting salary for Full Time is $100,000 , commensurate with experience. Compensation is not capped and is limited only by proficiency, efficiency, and case volume.
