Provide assistance and communicate effectively with claimants, coworkers, and the adjusters in claims handling.

Claims Clerk
Primary Responsibility
Provide assistance and communicate effectively with claimants, coworkers, and the adjusters in claims handling.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Provide assistance and communicate effectively with coworkers, and the adjusters in claims handling.
- Process unidentified mail.
- Set up new claims for Workers’ Compensation and Property loss claims.
- Preparing copy work for hearings and state ordered medical exams.
- Process manual miscellaneous payments.
- General clerical mailing functions, i.e. printing, stuffing envelopes, looking up tracking information, etc…
- Monitoring the Fraud Hotline for voicemails.
- Sending & receiving files to the Division via SFTP functions.
- Sending & receiving files to a vendor partner for bill review processing.
- Referral and importing of Peer Reviews and case management assignments.
- Assist adjusters and supervisors with special projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience in an office/clerical environment
- Bilingual skills in English/Spanish.
- Previous experience in workers' compensation claims.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work within and meet timed deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to manage time and work efficiently.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
