We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Ø Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans for patients with various mental health conditions.
Ø Diagnose and manage acute and chronic psychiatric disorders, ensuring timely and effective intervention.
Ø Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, ensuring compliance with state regulations and best practices in psychiatric care.
Ø Provide ongoing counseling, psychoeducation, and therapeutic interventions to support patients’ mental health and recovery.
Ø Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans in response to clinical outcomes.
Ø Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.
Ø Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHRs) for all inpatient and outpatient encounters, documenting assessments, treatment plans, and patient progress.
Ø Educate patients and their families on psychiatric conditions, treatment options, medication management, and strategies for mental well-being.
Ø Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to discuss complex patient cases and improve treatment outcomes.
Ø Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards governing psychiatric care.
Ø Provide psychiatric consultations to other medical staff within the inpatient setting as needed.
Requirements:
Ø Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) from an accredited program with a specialization in psychiatry.
Ø Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Texas.
Ø Minimum 3 years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Ø Strong clinical skills and experience in evidence-based psychiatric care.
Ø Proficiency in prescribing psychotropic medications and managing medication adherence.
Ø Ability to work independently in inpatient and outpatient environments while collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ø Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members.
Ø Proficiency in electronic health records (EHRs) and healthcare software systems.
Ø Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with the latest psychiatric care guidelines.
Ø Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ø Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse patient populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
