What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Caregiver | 12 Hours Weekly position at Heartland PCA LLC?
We're seeking part-time compassionate and reliable caregiver in the Hibbing, MN area. Paid training. This position is available immediately.
PART-TIME SCHEDULE:
SATURDAY SUNDAY
9am - 3pm
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Be at least sixteen (16) years of age
- Be willing to complete (or have already completed) the MN DHS training program that provides the PCA with the skills required to perform Personal Care Assistant services (NOTE: CNA, HHA, or other training might be approved for substitution. Please inquire if you're unsure.)
- Have the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Have demonstrated dependability, tact, and ability to follow orders
- Possess good interpersonal communication skills
- Possess and maintain good physical and mental health
- Must not have jeopardized health and welfare of vulnerable adults through physical abuse, sexual abuse, or neglect
- Be able to pass state and federal background checks
- MUST HAVE: Valid Driver's License and proof of vehicle liability insurance
Caregivers might...
- Provide services necessary to maintain client's personal health and safety
- Assist client to complete daily living skills such as dressing/undressing, oral hygiene, showering, grooming, hair washing, and other personal hygiene needs
- Perform transfers, turning, and positioning
- Provide assistance with food (breakfast & lunch), nutrition, and diet-related activities
- Provide companionship
- Assist with incidental household services
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Treat clients and families with respect
- Be adaptable to a variety of environments and settings in the community
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary
Physical demands might involve:
- Lifting, bending, stooping, and stretching
- Assessing clients' physical and emotional needs and be able to respond appropriately
