Heartland Orthopedic Specialists, a Service of Alomere Health, is looking for a full-time athletic trainer to work in our fast-paced orthopedic clinic. This position has the potential for a combination of roles in clinic and sports medicine. Roles could include cast and brace application, suture/staple removal, wound care, initial post-op visit, physician extender role; school visits; game coverage; and/or involvement in our Peak Performance program.

Schedule/Hours: The schedule is variable and based on school sporting events:
· Days, Afternoons, Evenings, Weekdays, Weekends
· Both Clinic and Sports Medicine Environments
Key Responsibilities:
Athletic Trainer Service Delivery:
· Practice safely, ethically, and legally, following HIPAA and facility protocols.
· Exhibit professionalism and accountability in all endeavors.
· Adapt to evolving patient needs and medical landscape, demonstrate initiative, and foster respectful relationships.
Communication:
· Collaborate with the orthopedic team to ensure quality care and meet patient expectations.
· Coordinate care with other professionals to maximize patient outcomes.
· Serve as a resource for our community, offering information about orthopedic services.
· Involve patients and others in care discussions and goal-setting.
Intellectual/Conceptual, Integrative, and Qualitative Skills:
· Collaborate with orthopedic team to deliver quality care and meet patient expectations.
· Coordinate care with other professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
· Serve as a community resource for orthopedic services, engaging patients in care discussions and goal setting.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
· Completion of a CAATE accredited athletic training program, either undergrad or masters track
· Previous athletic training experience preferred
License, Registration, and/or Certification:
· Certified Athletic Trainer with the Board of Certification, current (or eligible for) Athletic Trainer MN License with the MN Board of Medical Practice
· CPR certification required
· The ability to observe and practice universal precautions and emergency first aid
