Job Summary
Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director and/or the Technologist, the Technologist Assistant:
- Is responsible for supporting the radiology staff and providing the first clinical point of contact for patients.
- Facilitates the patient flow to minimize patient wait times and maximize the utilization of resources.
- Demonstrates competence with all imaging safety compliance initiatives.
- Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.
Experience
- One year as a trained Phlebotomist and/or Medical Assistant experience required.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work efficiently as an extension of certified/registered staff or licensed independent practitioner.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
- Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
