Heartland Handymen is hiring a Lead Carpenter who can walk onto a job, take ownership, and finish strong without being micromanaged. This is a solo-tech role — you'll run residential jobs from start to finish, talk to customers like a pro, and earn more the better and faster you get.

What You'll Do
- Run small residential jobs — doors, windows, siding, trim, decks, drywall, tile, repairs, remodels
- Show up on time, prepped, and professional
- Keep the customer informed and the job site clean
- Hit budgeted hours on flat-rate jobs (you'll know the time budget before you start)
- Document your work and time in our job software
- Communicate with the office about materials, scheduling, and change orders
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of paid carpentry or general construction experience
- Strong skills across multiple trades — carpentry, doors/windows, trim, siding, drywall, basic tile
- Customer-facing presence — clean appearance, respectful, clear communicator
- Comfortable using a smartphone for work apps (we don't run on paper)
- Reliable transportation to the shop in Manhattan, KS
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Lift 50 lbs, work on ladders, and handle the physical demands of the trade
