Grounds and Facilities Maintenance
The Grounds and Facilities Maintenance will be responsible for general farm groundskeeping and maintenance of property and buildings around the farm. This includes general groundskeeping maintenance and land improvement projects. This lead role is also responsible for executing core responsibilities related to grounds and facilities maintenance.
Qualifications
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor in the Grounds and Facilities Department.
- Identify, prioritize, schedule work, and follow up to ensure assigned tasks are completed.
- Perform lawn care and snow removal responsibilities.
- Assist in general repairs of buildings and facilities maintenance including preventive maintenance.
- Assisting in land improvement projects as general labor.
- Complete all other duties as assigned by the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others throughout the day.
- Ability to proactively identify challenges, implement solutions, and resolve issues.
- Must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license.
- Capable of working in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask in a variety of situations.
- Work with both arms and hands, reaching and pulling at times.
- Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred.
- Required experience with zero turn mower, skid steers, and payloader.
Physical Requirements:
- Assume flexible work hours vary in day length and schedule, due to weather or other factors.
- Ability to work on-site and in multiple locations and settings.
- Ability to stand for and work on your feet most of the day.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule:
- The Grounds and Facilities Maintenance work schedule can vary depending on the time of year and seasonal demand. One can generally expect 40 to 45 hours per week over a 5-day work week. Will vary during seasonal snow removal.
- Hours: 7am to 3pm. Will vary during seasonal snow removal.
Compensation:
The Grounds and Facilities Maintenance position pay range is $20 to $21/per hour.
