Summary Description Of Work

Provide transportation services to individuals who are seeking connection to behavioral health services based out of the Peer Center and other agency offices in the Council Bluffs area. Decision making, problem solving, and highly developed interpersonal skills are critical. This position requires high level of dependability, organization, attention to detail and customer service skills.

Compensation:between $13.33 and $15.90 per hour (wage is based on total years of relevant experience

Work Schedule:Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (6.25 hours per day with 30 minute lunch); 25 hours per week

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent driving record
  • Human Service Experience Preferred
  • Valid insurance and in good standing
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, MS Word and Excel

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • *Collaborates with team to identify clients that need transportation to and from the Peer Center and other behavioral health appointments.
  • *Schedule, arrange, and provide transportation to the Peer Center and other behavioral health appointments
  • *Assures customers arrive on time to appointments.
  • *Ensure safety and security measures are followed.
  • *Demonstrates knowledge of current community and HFS program resources to meet the client needs.
  • *Provides crisis intervention and problem- solving assistance to clients to assist in accessing services.
  • *Utilizes trauma-informed care, person centered and culturally competent principles in providing services to clients.
  • *Travel is required and may involve the use of personal vehicle.
  • *Is able to work both independently, with little supervision, and as a part of a team.
  • Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • Problem solves and trouble shoots on a daily basis.
  • Is prompt and accurate in completing all required reports and other requirements.
  • *Always displays a courteous and caring attitude to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
  • *Cooperates and collaborates with agency and collateral staff.
  • Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • *Creates, maintains, and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • Ability to become CPR certified.
  • Ability to complete Defensive Driving training within 30 days of employment.
  • Performs other program related duties as assigned.
