Heartland Express is seeking a Claims Adjuster for our corporate headquarters in North Liberty, Iowa. This is a full-time, salaried office position in a professional work environment.
The Claims Adjuster is responsible for investigating and managing claims for the company. This include taking initial claim intake, claim management and investigation, helping direct claim progression, and communicating with individuals, customers, vendors, drivers, attorneys, and other departments within the broader organization. This includes medical and injury claim evaluation, overall claim strategy and resolution, litigation management, and regulatory and comppliance responsibility. Other duties include computer work such as invoice processing, file creation and notation, skilled writing, and accounting related claims work.
This position requires independent decision-making with limited supervision, extensive attention to detail, and requires an individual be a self-starter with a positive attitude. The company seeks individuals with 3-5 years of prior experience in a relative industry as well as a bachelor's degree or comprable training and an Adjuster's license or appropriate certifications.
