HOURS: 2pm - 10:30pm with 30 minute unpaid lunch break
TERM: 12-Month position; 40hours/week
SALARY: Classified Salary Schedule Range 10; Starting pay is $14.87/hr
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in various settings, including offices and classrooms. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning, ensuring that all areas are well-kept and meet health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
- Handle custodial duties in early education/school settings, ensuring all spaces are hygienic and welcoming.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain safety standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus.
