Unlock your potential!  Join our team as an Investor & Management Reporting Analyst!  Heartland Dental is actively looking to bolster our dynamic Investor & Management Reporting Team. In this pivotal role, the analyst will play a central part in crafting comprehensive internal reporting materials.

To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work on a highly visible team who regularly interact with all areas of Accounting & Finance, reporting to the Manager of Investor & Management Reporting. 

Heartland Dental is the largest dental support organization (DSO) in the United States, supporting approximately 1,700 dental offices across 38 states domestically.  Our company is experiencing rapid growth, and we are looking for a dedicated and proven individual to join our Heartland Dental family.

This position is remote but will require regular travel to Indianapolis so we are focusing our search on candidates local to the Indy market.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

• Manage and contribute to the preparation of monthly internal financial results, including comprehensive financial reporting packages for presentation to Senior Leadership and our Board of Directors. This includes a specific focus on enhancing analytical review processes, scalability and automation.
• Conduct in-depth analytical reviews of balance sheets and income statements for our consolidated financial statements to ensure accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement by refining and strengthening existing processes and controls within the Financial Reporting function to further improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and clarity. Design and implement advanced data analysis techniques to provide valuable support for financial results.
• Identify, document, and implement process improvements in financial reporting to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
• Conduct benchmarking analyses against peers and other comparable companies to gain valuable insights and inform strategic decision-making.
• Provide valuable support to the external financial reporting function as needed, ensuring seamless coordination between internal and external efforts.
• Be flexible and ready to assist with ad-hoc or miscellaneous reporting projects, contributing to the overall success of the Financial Reporting Team.

Minimum Requirements:

• This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a base in our Indianapolis Support Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with emphasis on process improvements.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft suite of products. 
• Ability to work independently and possess proven project management skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure & meet deadlines.
• Live near Indianapolis, IN for in office meetings

Desired:

• 2 years public accounting experience (Big 4 or serving public companies) or 2 years financial reporting experience preferred.
• Experience in other financial/business intelligence tools, including SAP Analytics, is preferred but not required.
