To give you an idea of team structure, you will work on a team which will interact with all levels of the accounting and finance department as well as various cross functional teams within the organization (Operations, HR, Recruiting, and IT) to develop, document, and perform accounting controls. This position will report to the Sr. Compensation Accounting Manager.

This position will report to the Sr. Compensation Accounting Manager.
Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:
- Ensure transactions within compensation and operating expense areas are recorded in accordance with GAAP and established accounting policies
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations, compensation calculations, and analyses related to balance sheet accounts and expenses, as assigned
- Review team members’ journal entries, compensation calculations, and reconciliations as part of the company’s month-end close process, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Present quarterly account reconciliations to A&F leadership to support balances and explain variances
- Develop and maintain documentation for A&F control policies and procedures
- Assist with captive, 401k, and benefit audit and related filings
- Serve as a subject matter expert with the various financial and analytical tools utilized by the Accounting and Finance team
- Analyze process breaks or gaps and determine best methodology for effective solutions
- Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of process or system improvements as they relate to all accounting and finance functions
- Present complex accounting concepts to A&F leadership and perform high level technical accounting tasks with the ability to analyze financials
- Prepare and deliver monthly reports for management review
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other finance related degree required
- 5-7 years of experience in an accounting or finance accounting role
- Ability to learn and master accounting concepts
- Ability to maintain a monthly checklist of activities, complete tasks as necessary and ask questions when needed
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills – ability to identify discrepancies, perform research therein, and work toward resolution
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple deliverables simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
- CPA designation
- Prior experience performing monthly account reconciliations and journal entries
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
