As an Accounting Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Oversight of a team of individuals who ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and applicable accounting policies.
- Perform detailed reconciliations reviews for balance sheet accounts monthly
- Responsible for ensuring the monthly close process is executed timely and all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately.
- Ensure capital expenditure reporting is accurate and distributed timely
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement close reporting including preparation of footnotes with proper support
- Management of process improvement initiatives
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
- Assist with system design and implementations when appropriate
- Other projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting
- Public accounting experience (Big 4) or large regional firm experience,
- CPA or CPA candidate desired
- In‐depth understanding of US GAAP
- Experience working with balance sheet reconciliations
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills – ability to identify discrepancies, perform research, and work toward resolution
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
