What are the responsibilities and job description for the EM/COOP Analyst position at Heartland Consulting?
Heartland Consulting is actively looking for a highly motivated applicant to support our Emergency Management Division. The EM/COOP Analyst will report to the Division Manager for duty assignments.
Required Experience:
- 2 years experience in Emergency Management and/or Continuity of Operations
- Strong writing/copy editing skills, database and list management skills, and expertise with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong SharePoint development skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency using HSEEP documents
- Thorough understanding of Federal Continuity Directives, Presidential Policy Directives, National Response Framework, and National Incident Management System
- Expert written and oral communication skills
- Bachelors degree in homeland security, continuity of operations and exercise planning, or related field.
- Preferred Associate Emergency manager (AEM)/Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), Professional Continuity Practitioner (PCP)/Master Continuity Practitioner (MCP), and/or Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP) certification.
Candidate should perform all functions independently with minimal supervision and oversight.
