We are currently seeking a Construction Site Superintendent to join our team. This individual will report to a Project Manager and will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities and ensuring successful project execution from start to finish. Must be willing to travel to the jobsite assigned every week for this position, outside of approved PTO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise On-Site Construction:
- Coordinate all daily site operations, manage schedules, and ensure alignment with project plans and specifications.
- Manage Subcontractors and Vendors:
- Direct and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to meet quality standards, schedules, and contractual obligations.
- Ensure Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety to maintain a secure work environment for all personnel.
- Monitor Work Quality:
- Conduct routine inspections to verify adherence to project standards, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Budget Oversight:
- Monitor expenses, track project budgets, and manage resources effectively to ensure projects stay within financial goals.
- Communicate and Report:
- Maintain accurate documentation, provide regular progress updates, and escalate issues to project managers and stakeholders as needed.
- Problem Solving:
- Proactively address job site challenges and collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to find effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 3 years of experience on construction sites, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and technical documents.
- Software Knowledge:
- Proficiency in construction management platforms (Procore experience strongly preferred), Microsoft Office, and mobile field tools.
- Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Organizational Abilities:
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Leadership:
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, motivate crew members, and foster a positive job site culture.
- Safety Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and job site safety procedures.
