Heartland AEA is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for the 2026–27 school year.
Heartland AEA supports 57 public school districts, 44 accredited nonpublic schools, and 2 charter schools across central Iowa. This full-time position working a 192-day contract would be based out of our Carroll office with assignments to be determined.
What You’ll Do

Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support students’ communication needs.

Conduct speech-language assessments that are relevant to the presenting concern and meaningful within educational and home contexts.

Plan, implement, and monitor evidence-based interventions using a variety of service delivery models.

Support the generalization of communication skills across settings through collaboration and consultation.

What We’re Looking For
Licensure:
- Appropriately licensed/certified by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners
Education:
-
Master’s degree in speech pathology or communications disorders from a recognized training institution or qualified by a Statement of Professional Recognition

Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred
