What are the responsibilities and job description for the VA Contract EMT position at HEARTLAND AMBULANCE SERVICE LLC?
Heartland Ambulance Service is seeking 'contract' EMTs that are available for a 13-week travel contract. This will be a temporary position that includes housing in Indiana.
This position is working on a IFT ambulance that mainly supports the VA medical center. It will be 100% IFT work (no 911).
TIMING:
- You must be in Indianapolis and ready for training on 7/28, contract starts 8/1.
Pay:
$18.80/hour (overtime over 40 hours)
$5.36/hour Stipend for the first 40 hours a week
We have several positions open:
84 hours a week = 9,564/month for 13 weeks (work 7 days a week 12 on 12 off)
72 hours a week = 8,098/month for 13 weeks (Sundays off)
60 hours a week = 6,527/month for 13 weeks (weekends off) Local Staff
Schedule:
- 12 hour shifts
- 12 on, 12 off 7 days = 84 hours
- 12 on, 12 off 6 days = 72 hours (Sundays off)
Requirements:
- Must have NREMT or compact state certification with at least one year of EMT experience.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must have a current CPR
We will assist in obtaining reciprocity with Indiana, the process is fast.
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a EMT
Housing is provided for the term of the contract. The pay is every other Friday and is W2.
