Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chimney Mason to join our construction team. In this role, you will specialize in building, restoring, and maintaining chimneys, fireplaces, and related masonry structures. Your expertise will ensure that each project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities

• Construct, repair, and restore chimneys, fireplaces, and other masonry features using concrete forming, bricklaying, and stone setting techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
• Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to facilitate construction tasks such as rebar installation, concrete finishing, and framing.
• Install rebar reinforcement within chimney structures to ensure stability and compliance with safety standards.
• Perform concrete finishing tasks including pouring, smoothing, sealing, and caulking to achieve a polished appearance.
• Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and saws for detailed masonry work including stucco application and tile laying.
• Collaborate with team members on site to coordinate tasks like metal stud framing, roofing preparation, plastering, trim carpentry, and restoration efforts.
• Read construction schematics accurately for precise placement of components like metal studs or masonry units.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on the construction site.
• Assist with estimating project costs based on material needs such as concrete, mortar mix, or specialty finishes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in masonry construction with a focus on chimney building or restoration projects.
• Knowledge of concrete forming techniques and concrete finishing processes.
• Familiarity with construction estimating methods for material quantities and labor hours.
• Skilled in rebar installation and metal stud framing for structural support.
• Ability to operate power tools including saws, drills, mixers, and heavy equipment safely.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to masonry work.
• Experience with plastering, stucco application, tile laying, caulking, trim carpentry, roofing prep, restoration projects, and heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
• Excellent hand tool proficiency along with knowledge of construction safety standards.

Pay: $26.50 - $35.00 per hour
