Maintenance Director
We have two senior housing communities in NE Portland and we’re looking for a Maintenance Director to support them. RN Villa (139th & Glisan) offers 45-apartment of residential care including five designated for those needing bariatric care and Tabor Crest 2 (160th & Halsey) offers 30-apartments for those needing memory care.
Our maintenance staff are essential to our community. Along with your handy work, your routine visits bring conversation and joy to our residents. If you like to fix things and enjoy connecting with people – this is the job for you.
Here are some of the to-dos for this position:
- Inspect grounds and interiors to identify and address all real and potential safety issues
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Assist with apartment turnovers
- Sheetrock repair and paint
- Carpet extraction
- Keep drains and gutters flowing
- Pressure wash
- Light bulb replacement
- Minor mechanical, plumbing and electrical repairs & installation. Know when to contract outside assistance
- Manage landscape, pest control, and other contractors
- Participate in Fire Marshall and other property inspections
- Chair Safety Committee, assist with fire drills and fire and life safety trainings
