We are a roughly $15 million business today, with most of our revenue currently coming through Amazon. Our website is still under-built as a revenue channel, and TikTok Shop is just getting started. We believe there is a realistic path to growing our website and social commerce business into a $3M–$5M revenue channel over the next 18–24 months.
The Role
We’re hiring a Director of eCommerce Growth to help build our next major growth engine beyond Amazon.
The core mission of this role is to scale our non-Amazon digital revenue through a stronger website, better offers and merchandising, stronger retention and subscription programs, and thoughtful expansion into social commerce.
This is not a traditional people-management role. We are looking for a proven, hands-on operator with a real playbook—someone who has done this before, can point to specific results, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to do it again. You should be comfortable starting lean—using AI tools, agencies, freelancers, creators, and contractors as leverage to execute at a high level without relying on a large in-house team from day one. The expectation is that you will help build the playbook, prove what works, and then help us decide where additional support or hiring will create the most leverage.

What You'll Own
- Build and lead the strategy for growing Hearth and Homestead’s non-Amazon digital revenue
- Grow our website through stronger conversion, merchandising, offers, and retention
- Launch and scale TikTok Shop and other social commerce channels in a commercially sound way
- Develop subscription and replenishment programs that increase repeat purchase rate and customer lifetime value
- Collaborate on catalog strategy, including launches, bundles, variants, sizes, pricing presentation, and offer structure
- Use testing, analytics, and sound judgment to improve the customer journey and prioritize the highest-impact opportunities
- Work with external partners and modern tools to execute efficiently and extend your reach
- Build clear reporting and operating rhythms so leadership has visibility into performance, priorities, and trade-offs
- 5 years of experience leading or materially driving eCommerce growth for a consumer brand
- A proven track record of growing website and/or social commerce revenue in a measurable way
- Experience helping grow a brand’s direct to consumer (DTC) revenue from a relatively small base into a much more meaningful channel
- Strong experience with Shopify or a similar eCommerce platform
- Experience improving conversion, merchandising, offer strategy, and the customer journey
- Strong understanding of subscription, replenishment, retention, and lifecycle marketing
- Experience working effectively with agencies, freelancers, creators, or contractors
- Strong commercial instincts around merchandising, offer structure, catalog decisions, and profitability
- Comfort using AI tools to accelerate research, creative iteration, testing, analysis, and execution
- Ability to thrive in a scrappy, entrepreneurial environment where ownership matters more than title
- Strong judgment, clear communication, and a willingness to get your hands dirty
- Direct experience with TikTok Shop
- Experience in skincare, beauty, personal care, supplements, food/beverage, or another replenish-able consumer category
- Experience with subscription-heavy or replenishment-driven brands
- Experience in a founder-led or entrepreneurial business

Compensation
- Base salary: $90,000–$110,000 depending on experience
- Performance-based bonus tied to results
- Fully remote within the United States
- Lynchburg, Virginia area preferred but not required
