What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at Heart to Heart Home Care?
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Guidance and Counseling, Social Work or a related field;
2. At least one year of supervised experience implementing behavior support plans for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities
OR
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. At least three years of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities.
AND
1. Reliable and available transportation
2. Successful Criminal Background Check
3. Community Support Staff will not be listed on the Central Registry
1. Crisis management training
2. Enthusiastic, able to work independently, excellent written communication skills
3. Experience recording data on skill programs and behavioral interventions
4. Receptive to feedback, eager to learn
5. Ability to work independently and follow written instructions.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
7. Professional, reliable and punctual
1. Be responsible for and ensure the safety of the individuals receiving services.
2. Properly monitor and record behavior data, such as frequency, duration, common antecedents, etc.
3. Implement Behavior Support Plan components as directed by the BCaBA or BCBA.
4. Follow written skill program objectives and record data as appropriate and instructed.
5. Communicate regularly with the case supervisor and participate in required meetings.
6. Accept and make positive changes in response to feedback.
7. Maintain confidentiality in all records containing PHI according to HIPAA and Heart to Heart policy.
8. Develop and maintain an interactive relationship with individuals and their caregivers that reflect values and principles held by Heart to Heart Home Care.
9. Exhibit proficiency and implement all tasks needed to serve the individuals appropriately including implementation of treatment plan goals and other tasks as needed.
10. Complete all DDD required trainings and continue to improve skills through trainings required by Heart to Heart Home Care.
11. Must cooperate with Heart to Heart and Department of Human Services staff in any inspection or investigation.
12. Follows through with additional responsibilities and tasks related to care and compliance as assigned by management or administration.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
