Job Summary
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of support. What you’ll do
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide essential support in meal preparation and cooking to promote healthy eating habits.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization tasks.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Assist with mobility needs, including the use of equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
Basic qualifications
- Experience in patient care or caregiving roles is highly valued.
- Knowledge of First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working in home care or nursing homes is a plus.
- Background or experience working with individuals with physical disabilities is advantageous.
- Strong observational skills to monitor client conditions effectively.
