Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a group home setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and patient monitoring techniques is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting individuals as needed.
- Experience in home health care environment is beneficial.
- A background in nursing or social work may be advantageous for this role.

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Group home: 1 year (Preferred)
- Working with people with developmental disabilities: 1 year (Preferred)
- Direct support: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
Duties
- Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide personal care and support in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor individual’s health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring adherence to prescribed routines.
- Assist with medication administration as required, following HIPAA guidelines.
- Engage individuals in social activities and community integration to promote independence and social skills.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support individuals with mobility needs, including the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Document individual's progress and any incidents accurately in compliance with organizational policies.
