What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Heart to Heart Health Care Services LLC?
As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will provide compassionate care and support in group homes and in the community. You will assist with daily livings needs such as personal care, outings, medication assistance, appointments, meals, light housekeeping and companionship.
We have full time, part time and per diem positions open.
- Driver's License
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working in group homes with individuals with developmental disabilities, a plus
- A genuine desire to help others is needed to succeed in this field
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living needs, such as hygiene, dressing, meals, transportation, medications
- Engage individuals in meaningful activities that promote social interaction
- Documentation of daily tasks and medications
- Medication assistance
- Maintain a clean, safe environment
