General Summary:
A non-exempt medical office position responsible for billing processes in a private medical practice
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Heart South Cardiovascular Group, PC.
2. Adheres to the Heart South Cardiovascular Group, PC HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
3. Charge Entry and coding of all hospital visits and invasive procedures
4. CPT and ICD-10 coding required
5. Answer patient calls.
6. Additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma/GED
CPC certification preferred
Experience: Medical office setting and physician office coding experience required. CPT and ICD-10 knowledge required. Cardiology Coding experience preferred.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, calculators, etc.
Work Environment:
Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 75 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder, using computers and telephones.
Hours will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
