Dental/Orthodontic Assistant

A successful candidate will be professional, punctual and reliable with a great attitude and excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Previous orthodontic assisting experience and/or sales background is a plus but not required. Valid MA dental assisting license is preferred, but we are willing to provide on-the-job training for the right individual. Our office is completely digital so candidates must be comfortable and proficient with computers (especially mac system).
Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients and preparing them for their specific appointments.
- Speaking to prospective and existing patients/parents about orthodontic treatment.
- Educating patients on oral-hygiene and giving post-procedure instructions, and taking part in after-care communications.
- Chair-side assisting for different orthodontic procedures, including but not limiting to taking photos, x-rays, intra-oral scanning, setting up for 3D printing, routine orthodontic adjustments, and fabrication of retainers.
- Setting up, breaking down, disinfecting and sterilizing treatment areas and instruments.
- Maintain compliance with all standards and protocols of OSHA and HIPAA.
- Participating in community outreach and internal / external marketing.
Hours:
- Tuesday - Wednesday: 8:45-6:15
- Thursday: 8:15-4:45,
- One Saturday/month from 9:45-3:15
- Potential for adding on Mondays 10-6 as well for the right candidate to achieve full time status.
Remuneration commensurate with experience and skill level. Benefits will be discussed at interview.
