Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be positive, helpful, friendly, supportive, sincere, and genuine to all patients, physicians, and staff.
• Be attentive and responsive to doctors’ and/or practice administrator/team leader requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain punctuality, consistent attendance,
• follow all office policies and procedures.
• Make decisions that reflect the best interests of Heart One Associates and provide quality patient care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality as governed by the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Prepare patients for office visits by obtaining vital signs, including weight, height, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
• Assess patients’ signs and symptoms and document information for follow-up visits.
§ Verify patients’ current medications and accurately record them in the medical chart.
§ Perform EKGs, ABIs, and Padnet tests as directed by physicians.
§ Conduct INR checks, make dosage adjustments, and communicate results under physician guidance.
§ Monitor and respond to messages throughout the day, ensuring all information is accurate and thorough for physician review.
§ Contact patients with test results, lab results, and follow-up information as directed by physicians.
§ Triage urgent patient calls and escalate to the appropriate physician as needed.
§ Support back-office operations to ensure smooth workflow and efficient clinic operations.
§ Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented attitude to ensure high-quality patient care.
§ Travel to various practice locations as required to provide coverage.
§ Communicate supply needs and other operational concerns to the team lead.
§ Maintain an organized and clean workstation to support a safe and efficient work environment.
§ Provide cross-coverage for lunch, sick, or vacation absences to ensure continuous patient care.
§ Assist with medication refills, prior authorizations, patient messages, and call-backs as requested.
