Requirements
What You’ll Do
As a Massage Therapist, you will provide professional massage therapy services in an outpatient setting while working closely with nursing and clinical staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide massage therapy services to patients as directed by a Registered Nurse, including but not limited to:
- Therapeutic soft tissue massage
- Manual lymphatic drainage
- Reflexology and other approved massage techniques
- Provide massage services to HRRMC employees through the Wellness Committee, as requested
- Communicate patient concerns or changes promptly to nursing staff or your immediate supervisor
- Document all services provided in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Provide massage therapy education to hospital staff and/or the general public as needed
- Assist nursing staff with non-clinical support tasks as directed, such as:
- Delivering meals to patients
- Answering calls
- Transporting blood samples to the laboratory
- Practice massage therapy as part of an integrated healthcare team
- Meaningful work that directly supports patient healing and wellness
- Supportive, respectful workplace culture
- Live and work in a true Colorado mountain town—close to hiking, fishing, skiing, and river adventures
Summary
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate of an approved school of massage therapy
- Minimum of three (3) years of massage therapy experience preferred
- Current CPR certification required
- Colorado State Massage Therapy License required
- Oncology Massage Therapy Certification preferred
