This position provides leadership, mentoring, and operational support within a defined area of the clinic. The Front Office Clinic Supervisor serves as a resource to staff, demonstrates expertise in front office operations, and helps ensure the department functions effectively. In the absence of the manager, this role assumes responsibility for the overall day-to-day function of the department.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides direct supervision and leadership to registration staff and may oversee volunteers assigned to the front office. Provides training, guidance, and support to employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; and helps ensure effective staffing and workflow. Addresses employee concerns and complaints and works collaboratively with staff, providers, and patients/customers to resolve problems. Performs additional supervisory responsibilities as assigned, consistent with organizational policies, leadership structure, and applicable federal and state laws.

Requirements
What You’ll Do:
- Under the direction of the manager, works within established budgetary guidelines to support appropriate staffing for new or expanding practices.
- Ensures provider schedules are accurately templated in the electronic medical record according to provider and manager/director direction and applicable contractual productivity requirements.
- Provides leadership and oversight to front office and registration staff, promoting excellent customer service and a positive patient experience.
- Ensures registration staff follow established telephone protocols and appropriately schedule patients according to provider templates.
- Serves as a liaison between registration staff and clinical team members, including medical assistants, nurses, and providers, to promote effective communication and coordinated patient care.
- Supports registration staff in addressing difficult or complex customer concerns, using sound judgment and involving the manager, director, or other appropriate resources when needed.
- An Associate’s degree is preferred, along with a minimum of three years of responsible business experience, preferably in public relations, healthcare, or another professional setting.
- A combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of the stated requirements.
