What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Assistant position at Heart of the Desert?
The quality control assistant fills a vital role in determining a premium product is consistently produced. Hand and eye coordination is involved in checking the product as it moves on a conveyor system.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ability to make precise coordinated movements of the eye, arm, hands, and fingers to grasp very small objects moving along the conveyor belt.
· Ability to detect differences between color, size, and shapes
· Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
· Ability to see details at close range to ensure top quality product
· Assess the importance, value and quality of pistachios for consumer consumption
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· 1 years of experience working on a conveyor system a plus (will train—not required)
· Valid drivers license
· Detail oriented
· Good personal hygiene (food processing requirements)
· Food handlers certificate (can be certified after employment)
· Self motivated (able to work well with minimal supervision once trained)
· Team worker
