Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Small Engine and Auto Repair Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines, lawn equipment and automobiles to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, from lawnmowers to automobiles in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Duties
- Diagnose issues with small engines, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, and other outdoor power equipment (basic diagnostics on vehicles and motorized power equipment under the guidance of a skilled mechanic)
- Perform repairs on engines, including, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical component replacement.
- Assist with auto routine maintenance (oil change, tire rotation, battery checks, fluid top-ups, and some electrical repairs)
- Conduct routine maintenance on lawn equipment such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, and belt adjustments to ensure equipment and vehicles run smoothly
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques to disassemble and reassemble equipment accurately
- Assist in repair of diesel engines and heavy equipment components when required, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Test repaired equipment for proper operation before returning it for use
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with senior mechanics regarding repair status
Skills
- Must have a valid drivers license to test drive vehicles after repair
- Must be over the age of 21 for insurance puposes
- A minimum of 2 years experience in this role or similar
- Recent dealership experience or service technician background in small engine and auto repair or related fields.
- Mechanical knowledge of small engines, diesel engines, and Auto repair
- Knowledge of reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues is a plus
- Experience with electrical systems including wiring, and electrical diagnostics
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance, and vehicle maintenance practices
- Electrical experience in auto or small engine repair is a plus
- Familiarity with construction equipment is a plus

The pay for Experienced Mechanic position is $20 (depending on experience)
