What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Technician position at HEART OF ILLINOIS OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY?
Clinical technicians work alongside the providers and nurses to ensure that the office runs efficiently and patients are transitioned through the appointment experience seamlessly.
Opening Responsibilities
- Prep all exam and sono rooms
- Run lab controls
- Run/Empty autoclave
- Check schedule and set-up for any office procedures
Daily Responsibilities
- Room patients
- Run Clia-waived lab
- Phlebotomy, training provided
- Stock exam room supplies
- Disinfect patient care areas following use
- Enter lab orders, run lab centrifuge, package laboratory specimens for transport
Closing Responsibilities
- Disinfect clinical instruments and patient areas
- Operate autoclave for instrument sterilization
Weekly Responsibilities
Clean autoclave and run spore testing
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain annual compliance as required per OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA
- Other duties as per the Clinical Nurse Manager evaluates the needs of the clinical department
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
