Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, ensuring adherence to hygiene standards.
- Monitor and document vital signs as needed, reporting any changes in health status to nursing staff.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs, including those with dementia or memory care requirements.
- Uphold resident rights by promoting dignity and respect in all interactions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health or nursing is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices and understanding of resident rights is advantageous.
- Ability to perform basic cooking tasks for meal preparation is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment are essential.
