AdventHealth Heart of Florida is a licensed 193-bed acute care hospital, coupled with outpatient services including imaging, rehab, lab and wound care, that has been serving the community for over 50 years.

The Role You'll Contribute
Responsible for collaborating with the Spiritual Care team to provide pastoral care services to patients and their family members. This position responds to urgent situations, such as codes or death, at the request or referral of administrative coordinators, nurses, or family members. This role ensures compassionate support and guidance during critical moments. In addition, this position maintains personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. This role contributes to the emotional and spiritual well-being of patients and families.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Bachelor's in spiritual care, arts, or equivalent degree from college/university or institution accredited by the applicants institutional faith body
Affiliation with an institutional faith body
Current Board Certified Chaplain documentation. Chaplains who have completed 4 units of CPE are expected to become board certified within 12 months. Exceptions must be approved by their manager. Board certification organizations include: National Association of Catholic Chaplains, Board of Chaplaincy Certification Inc, Association of Professional Chaplains, Spiritual Care association (4 units), The Association of Certified Christian Chaplains, or equivalent. Chaplains are required to maintain board certification currency with an organization listed above.
