What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rugby Clinic Receptionist/ Scheduler position at Heart of America Medical Center?
Greet and check in patients on arrival and schedule appointments for future visits. Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone. Post daily charges and payments received to patient accounts.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work requires sitting for long periods of time, stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or papers weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires normal dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard and operate a phone, Fax machine, copier, computer and other office equipment as needed. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for a long period and to work in an environment which can be very stressful.

- High School diploma, or equivalent required.
- One year work experience in a office setting preferred.
- Skill in answering phones in a pleasant helpful manner.
- Ability to speak clearly and multi-task.

- Maintain the security of company-assigned devices by adhering to IT security protocols, including timely installation of updates, use of strong passwords, and compliance with all cybersecurity policies.
- Schedule appointments for patients in the clinic.
- Relay necessary messages to staff.
- Greet patients in a prompt, pleasant and helpful manner.
- Check in patients and maintain and update patient information during the process
- Answer phones, screen calls for appropriate handling by appropriate person.
- Reconcile receipts cash drawer daily.
- Accept payments for services rendered.
- Supports and implements safety into all job responsibilities regarding self, other employees, residents/patients and visitors.
- Reports safety violations (or unsafe observances) to supervisor and/or department head immediately.
- Promotes a culture of safety to improve employee safety.
- Open and close clinic as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
