Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily maintenance and repair of the facility, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend the life of facility assets
Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests from residents, staff, and management
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems
Supervise and train maintenance staff, including scheduling and assigning tasks
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including logs, invoices, and inventory management
Collaborate with other departments, such as administration, nursing, and dietary, to ensure seamless facility operations
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including ordering supplies and equipment
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and standards, including OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission
Requirements:
2 years of experience in a maintenance leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry principles and practices
Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and management
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
