Job Overview
We are looking for a nurturing, attentive, and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our team and support the developmental needs of children ages 6 weeks to 18 months. The ideal candidate is warm, reliable, and passionate about early care, with a strong understanding of infant milestones and a commitment to building loving, responsive relationships with both babies and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving care that supports the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of each infant.
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, tummy time, early language exposure, and motor skill development.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and calming classroom environment that follows all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Observe and document each child’s growth and milestones; share regular updates with parents through written reports and personal communication.
- Collaborate with co-teachers to ensure a consistent, predictable daily routine including feeding, diapering, napping, and playtime.
- Build strong relationships with families through open communication and respectful partnership.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings to continuously improve practice.
Qualifications
- Experience working with infants (6 weeks to 18 months) in a licensed childcare setting is highly preferred.
- Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of infant care routines, developmental milestones, and responsive caregiving practices.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- A calm, patient demeanor and a genuine love for working with babies.
