We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a specialty practice, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities, (but not limited to):
- Triage and prepare patients for examinations
- Record vital signs, medical histories, and symptoms accurately in EHR
- Perform EKGs
- Administer injections as directed by the provider
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum [1] years of experience in a cardiology or specialty clinic, preferred
- EKG administration and cardiac monitoring equipment, preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and respect in all workplace interactions
- Maintains strict confidentiality and contributes to a positive, team-oriented environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration and patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
