Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients warmly and assisting them with check-in and check-out procedures to ensure a smooth arrival experience
- Schedule appointments efficiently, confirm patient details, and manage appointment reminders to optimize clinic flow
- Collect and update patient information accurately, including insurance details and medical histories
- Prepare and organize patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
- Supporting staff by handling administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate communication between patients and providers for follow-up care or additional services
- Verifying insurance benefits and obtaining authorization
- Processing claims, payments and documentation accurately
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Experience in insurance processing is essential.
- Proven ability to provide excellent medical administrative support in a busy environment.
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and proficiency with scheduling software or electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a positive, energetic attitude that fosters patient trust and comfort
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
