We are seeking a full-time Hearing Aid Specialist for employment in a private practice setting. This individual must have a strong desire to enhance their career. Responsibilities:
- Perform complete hearing tests for adult patients to include air and bone conduction and speech audiometry, using calibrated equipment. Case history, test results and progress notes will be documented. Otoscopy will be completed and documented prior to testing.
- Counsel patients, make recommendations and provide solutions, regarding hearing loss and improvements in quality of life. Recommendations for care and treatment will be coordinated with the patient’s physician as required.
- Develop an individualized hearing solution for each patient, including selection of appropriate hearing aids, earmolds, wireless accessories and supplies. The dispensing process will include making ear impressions, ear molds and all necessary measurements to order instruments, then fitting, instrument programming, orientation, software modifications and repairs as required. The specialist will answer patients’ questions and address any problems and/or concerns.
· Maintain and organize patient documents, files and computer records for easy, complete and confidential access through an Office Management System
- Participate and contribute to the company’s success through community education and marketing activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or high school diploma
- Licensure: Hearing aid specialists must have an active license to practice in the state of South Carolina. Minimum requirements for continuing education apply.
- Experience: A minimum of three years of work as a hearing aid specialist

· The ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment
· Previous experience in private practice is beneficial
· Proficiency with Office Management Software and hearing aid fitting software

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
