Hearing Health & Wellness Center, LLC, a privately-owned Audiology practice in Plantsville, CT is seeking an Audiology Assistant to join our team. We have been helping patients in our community for over 20 years and have been under new ownership for almost 2 years. The following DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES are central to the role:
- Answer and return phone calls from patients.
- Answers patients' questions regarding scheduling and insurance payments.
- Enter data into a computer medical record system.
- Interact directly with the patient.
- Counsel patients on technology applications including bluetooth, phone use.
- Clean, maintain, & repair hearing devices.
- Basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain and utilize equipment.
- Continued growth and responsibility in the future.
To ensure success candidates should also possess the following EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Demonstrated experience building strong and positive relationships with teammates, patients, or customers.
- Clear speaking voice for interacting with our hard of hearing patients.
- Friendly, welcoming, and kind to all patients.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally & in writing.
- Proficiency with MS-Office & other medical practice software.
- High School Diploma.
- Experience in the audiology field is preferred.
- Audiology or communication science students may be considered.
