The Concrete Finisher is responsible for placing, finishing, curing, and repairing concrete surfaces to meet project specifications and quality standards. This role requires experience with concrete finishing tools and techniques and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, safety-sensitive environments, including government and federal job sites.
Key Job Functions
- Place, spread, level, and finish concrete using hand and power tools such as screeds, floats, trowels, and power trowels
- Perform edge work, jointing, and surface finishing to specified tolerances and textures
- Monitor concrete setting times and apply curing compounds, sealants, or protective coverings
- Patch, grind, and repair concrete surfaces and structures as required
- Assist with form alignment, embeds, anchor bolts, and finishing details
- Coordinate with superintendents and crew members to meet schedule and quality requirements
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly clean tools and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Concrete Finisher required
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, mixes, and curing methods
- Ability to read basic plans and specifications
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and strong attention to detail
