Position Overview
The Director of Operations serves as the organization’s second-in-command and
strategic partner to the Executive Director. This role oversees internal operations,
financial management, HR, compliance, and administrative systems to ensure Healthy
Waltham operates efficiently, sustainably, and in alignment with its mission.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead organizational operations, financial management, and administrative systems.
- Develop and manage annual budgets; oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and audits.
- Strengthen operational infrastructure, systems, and processes to support program growth.
- Oversee HR functions including payroll, benefits, compliance, and staff support.
- Maintain organizational policies, risk management, contracts, and governance documentation.
- Prepare financial and operational reports for the Board of Directors.
- Support a collaborative, accountable, mission-driven organizational culture.

Qualifications
Required:
- At least two years of nonprofit operations, finance, or administration leadership
- Strong financial management and budgeting experience
- Experience managing organizational systems and operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to Healthy Waltham’s mission
Preferred:
- Nonprofit financial management experience
- Experience working with boards
- Knowledge of nonprofit compliance
- MBA/MPA or related graduate degree. CPA designation
- Experience with budgets of $500K–$2M

Salary: $70,000–$85,00, commensurate with experience
