Site Technician

Healthy Trailer LLC (HT) is a sanitation service that cleans 53’ refrigerated food trailers. We use a machine that travels into the trailer, cleaning with water and sanitizing with UV light.

This job is an outside job. Our employees work outside in all types of weather, including hot, cold, wet, windy, foggy, and sunny, depending on the season.

This job is a sanitation (cleaning) job. Our employees clean trailers, the machine, the deck where the machine sits, the water catch basins, and all other areas that are part of the Healthy Trailer site.

This job is a physical job. Our employees must move equipment of all sizes and weights. There is a lot of sweeping, hosing, and picking up dirty and sometimes disgusting garbage inside trailers and around our site.

This job is a mechanical job. Our employees must know how to safely use basic tools like hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, jacks, pliers, etc.

This job is an ‘inside’ office job. Our employees must complete paperwork and data entry tasks. They are accountable for proper money handling.

This job is a ‘people’ job. Customer service at HT means that our employees talk to truck drivers, even when they are rude, unfriendly, and impatient. Our employees are comfortable asking new drivers about their company so that HT can learn more about how we can improve our service. Our employees make sure that they have done their best to make drivers feel happy and satisfied when they leave Healthy Trailer.

This job is a ‘technical’ job. Our employees observe and listen to how our machine is operating. They will try to fix problems, and if they don’t know how to fix a problem, they will ask how to do it, and then practice repairing so that they can work independently.

This job is safety job. Our system uses water and UV light. Water makes everything wet, and sanitizing UV is powerful. Our employees work around wet, slippery surfaces. They work around expensive, powerful machinery. Our employees safely direct drivers and big trucks around our site. They understand that danger is present and they know how to manage these situations. UV light requires protective gear, and our employees know how to protect themselves and others.

This is a maintenance job. Our employees maintain all areas of our sanitation service site, including the storage shed, the office, the parking lot, and the planted areas.

Task Expectations

Please review our task, skill, and people expectation lists carefully.

Operate HT equipment (For example wash machine, components, UV grids, etc.)

Maintain HT equipment ( For example, cleanliness, general repair as needed)

Clean HT equipment (For example, wash machine, components, UV grids, HT Trailer platform)

Data Entry into HT

Check in drivers/trailers (revise/confirm pre check in information) via tablet and HT App

Inspect fresh produce trailers

Manage site inventory

Accept payments in Point of Sale system

Direct Drivers through Clean stage areas

Manage/complete/adapt checklists

Manually do pre-clean (remove debris such as broken pallets, fresh product, packaging, etc)

Skill Expectations

Physical maneuvering on HT clean platform safely

Knowledge of data entry procedures

Detail awareness (overall site, machinery functions, etc.)

Food safety-related awareness and ability to make improvements

Ability to follow exact procedures and protocols

Comfortable with making suggestions, improvements, revisions, etc.

Ability to make decisions and take appropriate actions when safety in any aspect is at issue.

Printer/ computer skills

Ability to create systems and or procedures to meet new or failing protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Experience:

• Sanitation: 1 year (Preferred)
