What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA Personal Care Assistant position at Healthy Touch Home Care?
The Personal Care Assistant will assist nursing staff in a long-term care facility. The ideal candidate for this position will provide assistance with daily living tasks to patients under the supervision of a nurse. The Personal Care Assistant should also have a good working knowledge of multiple medical issues and also be compassionate and eager to assist others. This position includes some weekend and evening hours, and the right candidate will be able to work cooperatively with patients and staff in a warm, low-stress environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care activities such as eating, bathing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and walking.
- Direct clients to proper resources.
- Know how to monitor and report signs of sickness or injury.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks.
- Maintain clients' residences so they are safe and clean.
- Monitor client's health indicators such as blood pressure, body temperature, weight, height, and skin condition.
- Keep detailed records of care provided to each client.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $9.00 - $13.00 per hour
