About Healthy Smiles Healthy Smiles provides free preventive and restorative dental care to uninsured, low-income children ages 4–18 across Spartanburg and Cherokee counties. Through screenings, education, and clinic services, we work to build pain-free, confident smiles for families in our community.
Position Summary The Clinic Manager oversees daily clinic operations and plays a key role in recruiting, coordinating, and retaining dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and clinic support staff. The position ensures smooth clinic flow, OSHA/HIPAA compliance, and effective communication with families and providers.
Major Duties & Responsibilities Recruitment & Scheduling - Recruit dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and clinic staff. - Maintain outreach, follow-up, and retention systems. - Schedule all clinical providers and update contacts. - Train and onboard volunteers and clinic personnel. Provider Compliance - Maintain personnel files. - Ensure licensure, CPR, malpractice, HIPAA/OSHA, background checks, W-9s.
Clinic Operations - Manage clinic flow, sterilization, infection control, equipment logs. - Maintain supply inventory and vendor relations. - Oversee cleanliness of operatories and lobby with Clinic Assistant. - Maintain Clinic Policy & Procedure Manual.
Patient Scheduling & Case Management - Serve as primary contact for families. - Manage EagleSoft and OperaDDS schedules and communications. - Verify eligibility, maintain files, provide education/follow-up. - Assist chairside as needed.
Screenings & Organizational Support - Participate in school screenings with Program Director. - Attend Dental Advisory meetings. - Support and attend Laugh for a Child annual fundraiser.
Abilities & Competencies - Strong organizational and multitasking ability. - Excellent attention to detail; sound judgment. - Works independently; HIPAA compliant.
Salary: $24-26 hourly
Job Specifications Required Qualifications - Dental Assistant Certification and/or dental office experience. (5 years experience preferred) - Familiarity with dental office management software. - Knowledge of OSHA infection control standards. - Strong communication and customer service skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to lift 25 lbs. - Flexible, collaborative, adaptable.
