What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at Healthy Paws Veterinary Clinic?
Friendly, hard-working, reliable team player wanted! Healthy Paws Veterinary Clinic, a well-established and family-friendly small animal clinic, is growing and looking for an experienced veterinary assistant to round out our team! We are a high-quality, multi-doctor practice that prides itself with an enjoyable working environment, great leadership, and excellent support staff. This is a full-time position (avg. 32 hours/4 days a week, with no evenings or weekends), though part-time may be considered for the right candidate. While our main location is located in Sheboygan Falls, we have recently expanded with a satellite wellness clinic in Sheboygan as well. Our ideal candidate would be available to help at either of our locations.
Your most important job is to present Healthy Paws Veterinary Clinic in the best manner possible and to help us build long lasting relationships with our clients. Duties include admitting appointments, assisting DVMS and CVTs, restraining pets and processing payments. This is a fast paced clinic, so we are looking for a candidate who is detail orientated, can multi-task, is self-motivated, and who excels in client communication. We look forward to adding a candidate to our team who can help us provide a high level of customer service while we strive to practice with a high standard of care for our veterinary patients. Healthy Paws is continuing to make efforts to improve our Fear Free handling in a low stress setting for our patients.
An experienced assistant should have a minimum of 2 years experience as a veterinary assistant in a veterinary clinic. Due to the nature of our business, we ask that applicants are 18 years old or older.
