Healthy Interior Solutions is a fast-growing indoor air quality company serving Hamilton County and the greater Indianapolis area. We provide carpet cleaning, air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, mold testing/remediation, radon testing/mitigation, and other indoor environmental services.

We are expanding and looking for the right person to join our field team and train under our lead technician. This role has a clear growth path into a full Indoor Air Quality Specialist (radon mold certified).
Position Summary
We are hiring an Indoor Air Quality Technician – Apprentice to support our lead technician in day-to-day field operations. You will start by assisting with general cleaning services, air duct/dryer vent cleaning, equipment setup, and jobsite preparation. Over time, we will train you in:
- Mold inspection & remediation
- Radon testing & mitigation
- Crawlspace sealing & vapor barrier work
- Advanced IAQ services
This is an ideal role for someone who wants a long-term career in a growing, in-demand trade.
Responsibilities
Initial Responsibilities (Day 1–90):
- Assist lead technician with all job-site tasks
- Set up and break down equipment
- Support carpet, upholstery, and floor cleaning
- Assist with air duct and dryer vent cleaning
- Maintain tools, hoses, filters, and company equipment
- Help with customer communication and jobsite professionalism
Growth Responsibilities (After Training):
- Perform mold testing, containment setup, and remediation
- Conduct radon testing and learn radon mitigation installation
- Complete crawlspace projects including vapor barriers and sealing
- Diagnose IAQ issues and communicate solutions to customers
- Eventually run your own service truck and jobs independently
Preferred Background (Not Required — We Train)
- Experience in any of the following: HVAC, construction, restoration, maintenance, carpet cleaning, or trades
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs
- Comfort working in crawlspaces, attics, and confined areas
- Clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Willingness to learn technical skills and work hands-on

Pay: $24.00 - $29.43 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
