Dishwasher/Prep Cook
Position: Dishwasher/Prep Cook
Hours: 12:00 PM - Close (7:30 PM - 8 PM)
Location: Healthy Habit, 33 Office Park Road, HHI 29928
We’re seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as an Afternoon Dishwasher with additional prep cook responsibilities. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in keeping things clean and organized.
Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain a clean and efficient workspace
- Assist with afternoon food prep tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and other basic prep duties
- Ensure proper sanitation and organization of the kitchen area
- Support the kitchen and front team with additional tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Ability to work afternoons and evenings Monday through Saturday (12:00 PM - 7:00/7:30 PM)
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Prior kitchen or dishwashing experience is a plus but not required
- Follow recipes and prepare simple prep items.
- Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking
- Weigh and measure ingredients
- Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables
- Basic cooking functions such as preparing dressings
- Label stock and inventory all ingredients
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate and listen to team members
- Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
- Experience as a Prep Cook a plus
